We had a duckling weekend

Mei Mei is da bomb.

Is she hugging or strangling?

My little Hot Rodder.
Ana loves giving hugs. Roma loves getting them.

Horse racing is fun!
What a big girl using a glass all by herself. She amazes me everyday.
This is my favorite photo of the two. James was having an "off" day. He only made one photo and that was the back of his head. E & J, we need to get together again very soon.
Ana and Roma the new Thelma and Louise.
I told Roma to look up while I was taking the photo.
This is from the first rainy day of the weekend. She was so happy to use her ladybug umbrella in the rain.

This is her "Grumpy Ol' Troll" face with blueberry cream of wheat as makeup.

Roma met Mei Mei

Please fogive the non-chronological way blogger posts multiple photos. I just wanted to share so many of them to show how much fun we all had. Roma wanted to steal Mei Mei's spot light. Everytime the kids held hands and formed a circle, you could bet your bottom dollar that Roma was standing in the middle of the circle eating up the limelight. She was also very awestruck with Mei Mei. The first time she laid eyes on her, jaws dropped and eyes popped.

All the gals.

Once back and chillin' at Leigh's house, Sonia shared her crown with the masses.

Pull the Carrot song and game.

The only photo I got of the girls with Mei Mei.

This was at the end of the event and the energy level was falling quickly.

Sonia and ZuZu.

Mei Mei, can I be your assistant?

Notice that when Roma had the opportunity to be the center of attention, she took full advantage?

A weekend of culture

How do you like Roma's new fashion statement? She calls these hair doolies her "earrings". She wore these all morning. Unlike when they are supposed to be in her hair. Then they last for 3 seconds.

We went to our agency's family picnic on Sat. It was fun catching up with some friends that we haven't seen since before Roma came home.

John took the car for a little while. I forgot that the bags with the bathing suits were in there. Well, who needs a bathing suit anyway?

Today, Sunday, we went to the Boston Children's Museum to celebrate the Moon Festival.

How much of a mess can this girl make?

This is Roma's boyfriend at daycare. The ice cream truck stopped by while I was there picking her up. Of course, we had to stick around to enjoy a colorful treat.

She does clean up well though. This is the result of talking poopy while in the tub. Many of you may remember me telling you that I've had to scrub the tub many times due to the poo. She quickly got scooped up and placed on the potty. She tells me she is cold (because she's all wet). That's when the towel got wrapped around her. I was standing there admiring how grown up she looks on the potty. If anyone askes, no production in this sitting but she did pretend grunt and try.
